"I have anointed my creations with the term “Spiritual Collage.” Other than altar making and washing dishes, it is my favorite form of meditation. An epic collage session brings me peace of mind, inspiration, and a greater connection to Spirit. My intention in creating these works is that they will radiate sweetness and nourish your soul, as they do mine."
In November of 1982, Tiffany Jo Waddell was born into a large clan of animal lovers, artists, caretakers, and wild women. She was quickly introduced to the wonderful world of home making, where gardening, culinary and baking skills were considered an art form and everyone was encouraged to find their own creative outlet. Tiffany’s creativity blossomed as she grew up amidst painters, woodworkers, blacksmiths, sewers, and quilters.
From a very young age, she has relished in hostessing and holding sacred space. As these concepts seep into her creations, she weaves together a deep sense of nostalgia with Spiritual symbols. They are often viewed as stand-alone altars, as she honors the old by integrating antique photos and mementos into new pieces of artwork to be cherished for generations.
Some of her enjoyment comes from collaging greeting cards, embroidery, sewing clothes, bunting and baby blankets, painting, photography, baking, ATS Bellydance and gardening. You can now find her creations on Etsy!
She lives with her musically inclined, amazingly talented husband, two cow kitties and Aussie in Santa Cruz, California.
Tiffany is currently co-curating a collaborative women's art show, 9: Cycles of Creation, with nine dynamic artists from the Santa Cruz area. Please 'Like' us on Facebook!
